Turnaround & Rush

Dental lab turnaround and rush times

AIM publishes its turnaround as estimated maximum times, by case type, so you can schedule the seat appointment with confidence. When a case can’t wait, there are two rush options.

Standard turnaround by case type

Crown & Bridge11 DaysStandard single-unit restorations

Rush options

24-hour rush

Metro NYC practices

Cases received by 12 PM are delivered the next morning. Digital scans skip the courier leg entirely, so they are the fastest way to qualify.

2-day rush

Every practice, any location

Cases are returned within 2 business days, across every case type in the table above.

See which areas the courier covers on the NYC service area page.

How to keep a case on schedule

  • Send complete records

A missing opposing model or an unclear margin means the lab has to ask before it can start, and the clock does not stop while the question waits.

  • Resolve clinical decisions up front

A prescription that says “discuss material” cannot be started. Flag open questions so the rest of the case can move.

  • Scan instead of shipping

A digital scan arrives instantly, so a scanned case effectively starts a day earlier than a physical impression that has to be collected.

  • Book pickup early in the day

Same-day pickup requests after 11 AM are typically scheduled for the next business day. Requesting a design preview on a complex case adds 1 business day.
